Description
In 1839 William and Elizabeth Oliver travelled to South Australia from Scotland and settled at McLaren Vale in 1841 on land which they named “Taranga”, meaning “middle” in the language of the local Kaurna tribe.
The McLaren Vale wine region is fortunate in that it is bounded by the Sellicks Hill Range and the waters of Gulf St. Vincent, generating temperate growing conditions required to produce top quality fruit consistently.
Today the fifth- and sixth-generation descendants of the Oliver family produce ultra-premium age-worthy wines that reflect the unique character of the Taranga Vineyard in McLaren Vale, combining the latest winemaking tools and techniques with the sense of family, history and tradition that comes with over 170 years of local knowledge.
Open 7 days 10.00 am – 4.00 pm
Connoisseur Club members welcome for 10% off all wine purchases at cellar door & online.
