Morning Sun Vineyard

Sniff, swirl and sip the current releases in an ambience like no other. Finished in cypress that was felled and milled on-site, together with carefully chosen local Dromana stone, the cellar door is both classy and rustic. The stone extends out to encase garden beds and the wood-fired pizza oven. The cellar door overlooks the terrace and vineyard, a must see when visiting the Mornington Peninsula.

Morning Sun has two vineyards located 1km apart. Both plantings run down the east side of the ridge facing the morning sun. The east aspect allows for early morning warming of the vineyards without direct exposure to the harsh afternoon sunlight. This creates a long, even ripening period each day, ideal for the cool climate varieties of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. Along with these main varieties, small plantings of Semillon, Reisling, Gewurtztraminer, Barbera and Nebbiolo are being trialed.

Attention to detail is maintained at all times at Morning Sun Vineyard and great pleasure is taken in tending to the vineyards to ensure that optimum quality and ripeness is achieved each vintage.

Morning Sun Vineyard also has accommodation available on site. The two modern, three bedroom, self contained apartments both have beautiful views overlooking the vineyard and rural valley.
