Situated on Victoria Street in North Melbourne, Little Africa Restaurant is just across the road from the famous Queen Victoria Market, where they source most of their ingredients fresh daily. The modest surrounds are understated and simple, whereas the food is spicy and exotic.
The menu features traditional African cuisine, one of the few in Melbourne. Owner/Chef Ruta Ukbagerish prepares dishes that have been handed down over generations, Curries, Ethiopian stews and other specialised dishes slow cooked and rich with deep intense flavours using traditional aromatic spice combinations. Vegetarian and gluten free options also available.
Eat in the traditional East African fashion and let Ruta and her staff lead you through a unique culinary experience, not found elsewhere. There is an Ethiopian beer to enjoy with your meal and you must try the coffee which is infused with ginger!

Contacted 14/5/14 and left message on answering machine for them to call me back. Ruta returned my call and advised that she is aware of who we are, but never sees the card but all is ok for them to continue. Contacted 21/4/15, no answer.
