Located in Mt Irvine, a small village in the Blue Mountains, this unique house gives a modern and thrilling take on the Blue Mountains experience. It was named after the poem by Robert Frost, Mending Wall, and was shortlisted in the 2009 World Architecture Festival.

Mending Wall is the ultimate country retreat in which to relax by the wood fire, read a book from the impressive mezzanine library or explore the Blue Mountains area. The house sleeps a total of 8 guests with an upper level king size bedroom which has an en-suite with separate bath and shower, two lower level queen size bedrooms and a double bed sofa in the media room. The central / living / dining / reading areas all have spectacular views of the garden, district and beyond to the Sydney city skyline. There is also a baby grand piano, for those who feel inclined for a little music. For guests who prefer cooking, the kitchen is fully equipped with European appliances. Head outside to explore the beautifully landscaped cool climate gardens, which also offer endless space for the kids to run around. Or take a dip in the outdoor spa bath for five people.

At Mending Wall, enjoy the fresh air and majestic natural scenery by day and cosy fires and star filled skies at night. March and April also offers the ideal season for guests to pick their own walnuts and chestnuts in the area.
