Price: Rooms from $350

The Islington Hotel is a very special, small, luxury hotel in Hobart. It has a large and delightful garden, affording unique and stunning views of Mount Wellington. Decorated with fine art and furnished with antiques, Islington appeals to those who desire the very best in life, surrounded by personalised service and presented in an atmosphere of serenity, luxury and tranquillity.

Built in 1847, Islington is an outstanding example of Regency architecture recently restored to original glory and modernised to include the little necessities and amenities the forebears over-looked. This includes a glass enclosed mountain-view pavilion and a cellar stocked with the finest Tasmanian wine.

The celebration package is ideal for birthdays, anniversaries or wedding proposals. The package includes: one night luxury accommodation in a Garden or Regency room, a bottle of award winning premium Tasmanian sparkling wine, an arrangement of flowers, a Tasmanian cheese platter and a full breakfast.

Private dinners with the resident chef can also be organised.

Connoisseur Club Members welcome for 20% off Celebrations Package.

NOTES: Contacted 2/12/13, spoke to Selina Spowrat who is now the half manager and is more than happy to continue our relationship. Would like staff notice, news letter and an emailing specifying the face book details so she can act accordingly. Thomas Barker is now working in the Hong Kong Hotel.
