Corinda’s Cottages feature three historic outbuildings – the Gardener’s Cottage, the Servants’ Quarters and the Coach House that are now delightful self-contained cottages. In 1995, the owners won a National Trust Preservation Award for the restoration of Corinda.

The Servants’ Quarters are convict built. They pre-date the main house and were probably constructed when the site was a convict-run vegetable garden. Blue-stone walls and pit-sawn floor boards evoke the charms of yesteryear.

The Coach House cottage was built as the coach-house and stables for the main house in the 1880s. This charming little building, with its original slate roof, antique horse paraphernalia and pressed metal ceilings, is the epitome of rustic charm.

The Gardener’s Cottage was built in 1998 using materials salvaged from an early settler’s cottage built circa 1840. Heavy oak beams, pit-sawn timbers and richly coloured fabrics, together with a very pleasing array of antique furnishings, create a cosy and intimate atmosphere. A spa bath is carefully concealed by heavy colonial cedar doors.

At Corinda’s Cottages awaken to the sound of birdsong, then take a stroll across the cobbled courtyard into the extensive, and completely reconstructed, gardens which have been colour coordinated to create harmony and tranquillity.
