Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium

Sea Life Melbourne takes you on an underwater journey.  Along the way you’ll encounter some of the world’s most incredible animals, including the beautiful penguins, huge sharks, massive sawfish, mysterious stingrays, jellyfish, seahorses, thousands of tropical fish and much, much more.

There are 10 different zones showcasing animals and sea creatures from different areas all around Australia.  There are daily talks and feeds in the different zones.

Explore a world unlike any other in “Penguin Playground” and marvel as the majestic King and cheeky Gentoo penguins slip and slide across the snow-covered ice.  Seahorse Pier houses stunning seahorse and sea dragon species. This exhibit is also home to Sea Life Melbourne’s internationally-recognised Weedy Seadragon breeding program.

One of the main features of the aquarium is the 2.2 million litre Oceanarium.  Take a moment to soak up the breathtaking panoramic view as huge stingrays, massive sharks and hundreds of multi-coloured marine creatures swim by.  You can also come face to face with Pinjarra– one of Australia’s largest saltwater crocodiles.  A full, 360 degree, jaw-dropping viewing experience is possible with two viewing levels.

You can also have an amazing 4D cinema experience or visit the Art Aquarium where you use your imagination to create your very own sea creature and watch it come to life as it’s magically released into the huge nine-metre virtual aquarium!
