Tyrrell’s Wines

Print
Price: Wines from $15

English immigrant, Edward Tyrrell, established Tyrrell’s Wines in 1858 in the lee of the Hunter Valley’s Brokenback Range, New South Wales. Today, fourth generation family member and Managing Director, Bruce Tyrrell, heads this winemaking company. His children, the fifth generation of the Tyrrell family, are involved in the family business, illustrating that this iconic Hunter Valley winery will continue to be Australian owned well into the future.

The vines at Tyrell’s Wines Pokolbin vineyard were first planted in 1879. It is recognised as some of the Hunter Valley’s finest vineyard land and is the basis for the development of their premium wines. Tyrrell’s Wines create individual wines of character, flavour and above all, integrity. Tyrrell’s Wines boast well established, popular and highly recognisable wine brands that are exported to over 30 countries worldwide.

Visitors can come to the cellar door and taste some of the award winning wines, take a tour and experience first-hand the old oak vats and historic red cellar still in full operation. You can also see the original iron bark hut that Edward Tyrrell lived in.

Sunday & Public Holidays 10:00am – 3:00pm

Contacted 12/10/17 and spoke to Pam, who advised that Mike Cutrupi is no longer with the company. Pam asked me to call Joanna robinson on 02 90287300 as the Cellar Door has changed dramatically. Tried to contact Joanna on 13/10/17, no answer. Joanna gone, new contact is Marnie
