Ocean View Estates Vineyard

At Ocean View Estates, all of the wines are proudly estate grown and made by Thomas Honnef and his dedicated team. With great attention to detail, Thomas is producing fantastic wine from 4 different varieties of grapes. These include Viognier, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Ruby Cabernet. Thomas has received a number of awards for his wine, including proudly achieving a gold medal and trophy at the 2009 Queensland Wine Awards for the 2009 Viognier. This is a delicious, light and fruity white, great with seafood, or chicken (or just by itself!).

Producing around 30 tonnes of grapes a year and from this around 30 000 bottles of wine. Sales are exclusively from the Cellar Door, restaurant, or mail order. Take the short 45 minute drive from Brisbane to the estate for a tasting of all, or some, of the range of wines in the beautiful new cellar door facility, or perhaps enjoy a glass with a perfectly matched meal, or cheese platter in the restaurant.

From the outset, it was a passion of all those involved to provide a destination for people to visit, where they could experience a fully functional winery that not only grew and processed its own wine in a beautiful location, but where the wines could be enjoyed in accompaniment with good food and in a relaxing atmosphere.
