Price: Wines from $22

Galafrey Wines was established by Ian Tyrer and remains a family-owned business. All the wines are grown, nurtured and bottled on the estate. Mother and daughter team, Linda and Kim Tyrer, maintain a hands-on role to ensure that the Galafrey philosophy is upheld.

Today, Galafrey has twelve hectares under vine consisting of Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir and Merlot Grapes. They are also growing Muller-Thurgau, a unique white grape variety that produces a light, flavourful, fruity grape that is low in acid.

Galafrey’s impressive cellar door boasts breathtaking views of the vines and surrounding bushland. Come and meet Henry, the winery dog, who will greet you at the car park and escort you to the door. The best thing about their cellar door is when you go there you are being served by Linda, Kim or Nigel who own and run Galafrey Wines. They are friendly, down to earth people who are passionate about the wine and love a chat about the wine, weather or the region.

Finally, and most importantly, enjoy the taste that is Galafrey Wines.
