Puffing Billy is Australia’s favourite steam train and one of the finest preserved steam railways in the world. This century-old steam train continues to run on its original mountain track in the magnificent Dandenong Ranges 40kms east of Melbourne. Puffing Billy operates every day except Christmas Day, and is easily accessible from Melbourne by Metro Train on the Belgrave Line.

Steam & Cuisine Luncheon

Share the grandeur and charm of a three hour steam train journey whilst savouring the First Class menu aboard the ‘Steam & Cuisine Luncheon’. Select from an all gluten free Three Course Menu or graze over the Natter Platter followed by scones, jam and cream. A range of local wines and drinks can be purchased on board the train.

The ‘Steam & Cuisine Luncheon’ departs daily (excluding Victorian public holidays) at 12.30pm from Belgrave.

Dine & Dance on Puffing Billy

Experience a unique dining experience in a heritage setting! Enjoy hearty food, good company and live music with a group of friends.
Travelling aboard Dine & Dance on Puffing Billy is perfect for work functions, birthday parties and other special occasions.

Enjoy your entrée in the enclosed dining carriages before arriving at the unique function venue, the Nobelius Packing Shed, where mains and desserts are served. The evening’s entertainers will make sure your night out is enjoyable with live music that everyone knows and loves! Whether you like to dance or prefer to have a chat with your fellow passengers, you will be sure to enjoy the atmosphere of ‘The Shed’ until it is time to return to the train.

Departs from Puffing Billy’s Belgrave Station on selected Fridays at 7.30pm and Saturdays at 7.00pm and returns at approximately 11.30pm.

Bookings are essential for all Wine & Dine experiences aboard Puffing Billy. Card membership number must be given at time of booking & presented on day of travel. Not valid in conjunction with any other offer.
