Ormeggio at The Spit

Ormeggio at The Spit is aptly named, as Ormeggio is the Italian word for MOORING or BERTH and reflects the position of the restaurant. Ormeggio is situated on the waterfront in the d’Albora Marinas The Spit, on the left hand side of Spit Road as you head towards Manly from the city.

Ormeggio specialises in contemporary Northern Italian cuisine with co-owner and Executive Chef, Alessandro Pavoni’s focusing on his home region of Lombardia. Cleverly keeping the original regional flavours and combining with a contemporary presentation. Using both new and traditional techniques of cooking, and having a talented and experienced team of chefs led by Alessandro Pavoni and Victor Moya, they aim to showcase their belief in regional Italian differences in cuisine, and promote the values of Italian food in Australia.

These are all great achievements to be proud of and are well deserved by the hard working team at Ormeggio.

The view over Middle Harbour from this elegant and comfortable restaurant is fabulous and the restaurant is also the perfect spot for a sunset drink as the last rays of sunlight bounce off the water highlighting the boats in the marina. This is a really beautiful place to be and dining in Sydney doesn’t get much better than this.
