The Mail Exchange Hotel, conveniently located on the corner of Bourke and Spencer Streets, is now open. Housed in the basement of the former Mail Exchange Building, which was built in 1917, the Mail Exchange Hotel has been meticulously restored and features a 200-seat bistro, stunning bar, internal courtyard and informal lounge areas. Dominated by original fixtures, solid timbers, textured leathers and bucolic pillars, the Mail Exchange Hotel offers a warm and inviting setting, and the perfect venue for dining, drinking and celebrating.

They have a superb pub-style menu for casual dining at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Signature dishes on the menu include beer battered barramundi, salt and pepper calamari, homemade pie of the day and souffle crepes to finish.

No pub is complete without one of Melbourne’s finest Chicken Parmigianas. The menu is complimented by a concise and interesting list of Australian and international wines by the glass and bottle. Whatever the occasion, the Mail Exchange Hotel is a sophisticated destination for drinks with friends before the footy or after work, and a superb meal at any time of the day or night.

With its setting steeped in history and grandeur, the Mail Exchange is also ideal for corporate lunches and dinners, meetings and informal gatherings with colleagues and friends.

Connoisseur Club Members are welcome for a complimentary main course from the Bistro A la Carte menu (excludes lunch specials).
