One of Melbourne’s most recognised French restaurants, established by Jean-Francois in 1985, Bergerac has been delighting customers for over 30 years with their French Provincial cuisine.

This quintessential French Bistro is the epitome of a traditional Parisian brasserie, right in the heart of Melbourne, situated on busy Lonsdale Street. The restaurant setting is highly suitable for business client entertainment as well as for casual and formal occasions.

Immerse yourself in the true French Bistro atmosphere. Dishes include delicious French specialities like the ‘Duck Confit’ or the tender ‘Steak aux deux Poivres’ (a peppered eye fillet in a cream and brandy sauce with black and green peppercorns)

The wine list boasts a superb range of French and Australian wines, through to exceptional boutique wines with approximately 10 wines on offer by the glass. The restaurant seats up to 90 people and there is a private room available for parties from 10 to 30 people.

Open for lunch Monday to Friday from 12:00pm.  Open for dinner 7 nights a week, from 6:00pm.

Connoisseur Club Members are welcome for a complimentary main course (a La Carte menu).  Not applicable to lunch specials.

    Contacted 9/2/17 and spoke to Jean, who informed me that he has relocated to new premises New phone numbers – & 0407 559 228. Tried to call him back to advise that our editorial department would be in touch.
    I contacted and spoke to Jean on 19/10/17 and he expressed that he had not heard from anyone. I explained our conversation in Feb 2017. Happy to continue, but would like basic conditions sent out, so that his staff are aware of the offer.
